Islamabad is poised for a transformation as the Capital Development Authority (CDA) takes ambitious strides to establish a series of cutting-edge parks across the city.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Islamabad is embarking on an ambitious project to establish contemporary parks across the federal capital, aiming to enrich the recreational choices available to the city’s residents.

Sources from within the CDA have confirmed that over the past decade, a commendable total of 37 public parks have been successfully established in Islamabad. However, the authority is now poised to expand this number further, responding to the growing demand for recreational spaces in the city.

It has been revealed that the process of bringing a new park to life involves navigating through necessary legal formalities. Once these procedural aspects are satisfactorily addressed, the construction of a new park typically takes an estimated three to four months to reach completion.

Presently, Islamabad boasts six amusement parks that are deemed to adequately serve the recreational needs of its populace. Nevertheless, in consonance with regulatory requirements, the establishment of fresh amusement parks becomes a mandate whenever a new sector or industry is introduced.

Encompassing zones such as I-11, I-12, I-14, I-15, I-16, D-12, and Park Enclave, the CDA is actively engaged in the development of new sectors. These evolving sectors are thoughtfully designed to incorporate not only parks but also Model Villages.

Officials emphasize that the strategic addition of new parks aligns seamlessly with the CDA’s officially sanctioned layout plan, effectively addressing the burgeoning public appetite for enhanced recreational facilities.
