Construction work on third signal- free 11th avenue in the Federal Capital would start in June, an official of Capital Development Authority (CDA) said here on Friday.

PC-Is have been submitted to the MOU for funding under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) following preparation and technical evaluations of technicality, financial, environmental, and other aspects.

The errands are wanted to meet future traffic needs and further create and grow the public authority capital’s road establishment.

  • At Kashmir Highway with intersection of 11th Avenue
  • At Kashmir Highway with intersection of 12th Avenue
  • Construction of 10th Avenue and subsequently its interchange as well
  • Underpass from IJP Road to Khayaban-I-Iqbal
  • An interchange at intersection of 9th Avenue & IJP Road

Since setting these tasks in motion adds to the goal of traffic issues in the city, the PC-Is that have been arranged and signed as per MOU. The city would be able to meet its traffic needs for many decades after these projects were finished.

In the meantime, CDA announced a call for bids in the amount of PKR 680 million Appx in accordance with Government Regulations Advancement work will immediately begin after the Sector E12 Agreement is granted by July 20. It is encouraging news for the sector allotees after 25 years of delay.

For those who live on I-11, I-12, and I-14, it’s also good news that the CDA put out a bid for development and maintenance.
